Catherine Hanneman, PA-C
Originally from Evans, Georgia, Catherine Hanneman earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of North Georgia. Following graduation, she worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in North Fulton County. She returned to Augusta in 2021and obtained a Master of Physician Assistant degree from Augusta University in 2023. Catherine is nationally certified under NCCPA, holding a license in both Georgia and South Carolina.
Her passion for rheumatology developed during her last year of training when she realized the opportunity she had to invest in her patients’ well-being. With rheumatic conditions often requiring long-term care plans, Catherine understands the importance of the patient/provider relationship and uses that bond to help educate her patients in a way that will make the most sense for them. Catherine believes the most rewarding aspect is watching her patients’ quality of life improve. It is the relationships with her patients and the continuity of care that drives her every day.
When Catherine is not at work, she can be found traveling with her husband and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. She also enjoys exercising, playing sports, thrifting, and reading. Most importantly, Catherine enjoys spending time with her friends, family, church community, and her orange tabby cat, Piper.
